There is a report that Tyron Smith has been ruled out of the Eagles game

We have on report from a reputable journalist that Tyron Smith has already been ruled out for the game against the Eagles. In addition, it’s going to be Byron Bell who will get the chance to replace him this week. This is according to Jane Slater of the NFL Network.

A person with knowledge of the situation tells me Cowboys LT Tyron Smith will not play Sunday (groin). Byron Bell will start instead.
The interesting thing is most of the local media has yet to report the same. That doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s not true, but they might not be talking to the same source or aren’t hearing the same definitive statement. There is no reason to doubt Slater, she’s been right on most things before.
I think you would have to believe this is the case, even if it’s being reported that Smith might practice this week.

Some good news on Smith, I'm told he's expected to get in some practice Friday. Meaning he's making progress but still won't play Sunday. https://twitter.com/slaternfl/status/931267076467118081
There are also reports that Rod Marinelli will turn to Justin Durant as the main MIKE linebacker, and that Jaylon Smith will only see spot duty.

Cowboys will move LB Justin Durant to MLB this week. Defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli calls him a "sweeper" who is a "settling factor"
