Texans Down Three Defensive Backs AgainstCowboys

The Cowboys have had great success running the ball with DeMarco Murray this season and they will likely continue to ride Murray and their talented offensive line against the Texans this weekend.

When they do decide to put the ball in the air, they’ll be going after a depleted Houston secondary. The Texans ruled out three defensive backs on Friday, leaving themselves thin at the back end of their defense for Week Five.

Cornerbacks A.J. Bouye (groin) and Darryl Morris (ankle) and safety Eddie Pleasant (ankle) will all miss the game. Bouye and Morris are typically the first two cornerbacks off the bench for Houston, so they’ll have to turn to Andre Hal, Elbert Mack and the newly signed Jumal Rolle for depth against Dallas. Pleasant’s loss isn’t likely to be felt as sharply, although that could change if there are any other injury issues at safety come Sunday.

The Texans have allowed 237.5 passing yards per game through the first four weeks, good for 15th in the league.
