Dallas Cowboys CB Brandon Carr says Sunday’s game against Seattle was best secondary has played in his three seasons with club

This is cornerback Brandon Carr’s third season with the Dallas Cowboys. He played in his 38th game for Dallas on Sunday at the Seattle Seahawks.

And Carr said Sunday’s performance was the best the secondary has played in his Cowboys career.

Cowboys cornerbacks had tight coverage throughout the game. They also were disciplined against Seattle’s offense that likes to get speedy receiver Percy Harvin in space near the line of scrimmage.

Carr had two of the Cowboys’ nine pass breakups. No Seattle receiver had more than three catches Sunday.

“We played one of our better games against a team that’s pretty much like an option [offense]. You can’t fall asleep and we didn’t fall asleep,” Carr said. “Guys were just locked in and that’s what it comes down to, everybody just do your job.

“This is a confidence-booster. It’s not shocking to us because we’ve been grinding, scratching and clawing for a very long time to get into this situation.”
