Cowboys add WR to practice squad

Wide receiver LaRon Byrd broke his arm in Wednesday’s practice, forcing the Dallas Cowboys to sign Kerry Taylor as his practice squad replacement.

Byrd, who signed Tuesday, was waived after he agreed to an injury settlement. He played in one game for the Cleveland Browns before he was released last week. He caught seven passes in the preseason for the Cowboys.

Taylor caught 19 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has also played for the Arizona Cardinals.
