Terrell McClain has concussion

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Terrell McClain did not practice Wednesday because of a concussion.

McClain, who missed the entire preseason and season opener due to a high ankle sprain, will have to pass the NFL’s concussion protocol before being cleared to practice or play in a game.

Defensive tackles Henry Melton (hamstring) and Davon Coleman (calf) also did not practice. Other Cowboys to miss practice were quarterback Tony Romo (back), who will return Thursday, and linebacker Rolando McClain (groin).

Receiver Dez Bryant was limited by the right shoulder injury he suffered during the Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans. He was limited during all three practices last week but started in the win over the St. Louis Rams.

Linebacker Justin Durant fully participated in his first practice since straining his groin in the Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
