Jerry Jones says NY Giants made him cry after beating Cowboys in playoffs

Losing to the Giants in the 2007 NFC divisional playoff was especially tough for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Jones has cried after three losses. The last of those came in the 2007 season, when a 13-3 Cowboys team lost to the Giants, 21-17, in the NFC divisional playoffs.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has played the tough guy against the Giants in recent years, showing plenty of bluster to Big Blue. But six years ago, the Giants made Jones cry, he admitted Monday.

"That's where I went to the place I used to go to when they would call and tell me that I had just lost all of my money on a dry hole," Jones said in an article on Dallasnews.com.

That Giants loss was the last time Jones cried. He also cried in January of 1995, when the Cowboys fell to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC title game, failing to make it three straight Super Bowls. Additionally, he cried when Dallas fell to the Houston Texans, 19-10, in the season opener in 2002.

Over the last few years, however, Jones has talked mostly trash against the Giants, and just two years ago, he famously invited Cowboys fans to his stadium so they could watch his team "beat the Giants' asses." That never happened, as the Giants beat the Cowboys, 29-24, midway through the season.

Last season, however, Jones talked little trash, but he still got the last laugh. His Cowboys forced six Giants turnovers in a season-opening win in Dallas. Then, in Week 12, Dallas stepped into MetLife Stadium and effectively ended the Giants' playoff hopes with a 24-21 come-from-behind win.
