Swaim Undergoes MRI For Knee Injury; Debut for Jarwin?
Swaim Undergoes MRI For Knee Injury; Debut for Jarwin?
The Cowboys will likely have a few lineup changes at multiple positions on offense this week, and tight end now appears to be one of them.
Jason Garrett said on Friday that tight end Geoff Swaim injured his knee in practice on Thursday and has undergone an MRI. At the time of his press conference, Garrett didn't have more details on the injury. Swaim obviously did not practice on Friday and his status for Sunday’s game in Atlanta is up in the air.
If he doesn’t play, the Cowboys would likely activate rookie Blake Jarwin, who was signed from the practice squad two weeks ago when other teams attempted to sign him to its roster. Jarwin has been inactive the last two weeks but that could change Sunday.
In other tight end news, Garrett said Rico Gathers could start working back into practice but it’s unclear whether or not the Cowboys would activate him from IR to the active roster before the end of the season.
