Cowboys roll to an easy one over the Jaguars, 31-17
With a long trip across the pond and a quarterback with a sore back, the Cowboys needed an easy one.
Fortunately, they ran into the Jaguars.
The Cowboys cruised to a 31-17 win over the Jaguars, improving to 7-3 on the season.
Tony Romo was able to get in and out healthy, letting Brandon Weeden finish up after last week’s disaster. Romo was never in terribly much peril, and threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns on 20-of-27 passing.
He had plenty of help from his fellow offensive stars, as DeMarco Murray ran 19 times for 100 yards and wide receiver Dez Bryant stood on the six catches for 158 yards and two touchdowns he posted in the first half.
The game turned into such a laugher that alleged underwear bandit Joseph Randle scored, bouncing through tackles on the way to the end zone like they were mall cops.
Actually, given the state of the Jaguars secondary, they might have been recently. Or they will be soon.
The Jaguars fell to 1-9 on the season, and even though the owner expressed confidence in the team’s decision-makers, there are plenty of reasons to wonder about their future. For all the small moments of competence, they can’t really tackle anyone, and that’s a pretty big problem when you’re playing American football.
