Justin Durant ruled out of Sunday's game

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Justin Durant was ruled out of Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans with a groin injury.

Durant did not practice all week and a source said he could miss 3-4 weeks with the injury he suffered in last week's season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Anthony Hitchens will replace Durant at weak-side linebacker in the base defense but Rolando McClain's role will increase in the nickel defense.

McClain came off the field in passing downs against the 49ers before Durant's injury.

Defensive end Lavar Edwards has also been ruled out with a knee injury. He was suffering from swelling in his knee that limited his work Thursday and kept him out of practice Friday.

Safety C.J. Spillman is questionable after taking part in a limited portion of Friday's practice, but he said he would be available Sunday. He did not practice Wednesday or Thursday.

"It was good to get out of the rehab program quick," Spillman said. "It was a good feeling to get back with the guys and not just working on my own."

Quarterback Tony Romo (back), defensive tackle Terrell McClain (ankle), defensive end George Selvie (shoulder), wide receiver Terrance Williams (back) and guard Zack Martin (foot) are listed as probable.

Defensive end Anthony Spencer (knee) and tackle Darrion Weems (shoulder) will miss their second straight game.
