Cowboys taking Josh Brent to London, even though he can’t play
The Cowboys have tried to keep defensive tackle Josh Brent involved and engaged.
Toward that end, they’re taking him across the Atlantic with them.
According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Brent will accompany the team to London for this week’s game against the Jaguars.
He’s still suspended, as a result of his intoxication manslaughter charge that led to the death of teammate Jerry Brown. He’s not eligible to play until at least Nov. 23, but NFL and law enforcement officials cleared him to travel out of the country.
He’s currently practicing with the team, and they have hopes of him contributing in the future if not this year assuming he’s in shape.
But keeping him a part of things is also a step in his recovery as a person, as much as a player.
