Cowboys' Spillman, Durant don't practice

Taking roll at the Dallas Cowboys' Wednesday practice produced no surprises.

Safety C.J. Spillman (groin), weak side linebacker Justin Durant (groin), offensive tackle Darrion Weems (shoulder) and defensive end Anthony Spencer (knee) were the only players not dressed out and on the field.

Rookie fourth-round pick Anthony Hitchens worked at weakside linebacker early in practice.

Weems and Spencer did not play in the preseason and were inactive for the season opener because of their injuries. There is still no firm timetable for when Spencer, who is recovering from microfracture knee surgery, will begin to practice.

Spillman and Durant were injured during Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Jason Garrett is classifying them as day to day, but a source said Durant will be sidelined for three to four weeks.
