Breakdown - Cowboys Vs. Panthers
The way I see it:
We do well against NFC south teams, The Panthers are no exception. Does this game matter, YES...no...sorta kinda not really...
Do we want to be cellar dwellers?
Have we planned for the future? (As in NOV/ DEC/ JAN) or are we the same team thats starts early and sputters when it counts. We are 2-3 bottom of the NFC East. So we can throw that idea out the window. Maybe we are a team that starts slow and finishes hard. This is how the Giants and Packers aka the last TWO super bowl champions played in the final game in the season.
It's gut check time. Defense WINS championships and as far as any coach that is still a coordinator Robbie Ryan is the BEST in the business.
This is the 2nd year under Robbies system, If you count the lockout. (I don't, its a very complicated scheme) We still need to Dominate, Robbie needs to use his toys. Claiborne, Carr, Sensabaugh, Anthony Spencer (In limited time) this means you. We STILL have the number 2 defense in the league (total and PYPG)
Will the boy wonder (Jason Garrett)? Be the boy wonder or boy blunder, his system does work (6th in total YPG, PYPG). How when it comes to rushing were 20th RYPG
A 2-3 record is NOT gonna work so we have to 3 things:
1. Run the ball (duhhhhhhhhh)
2. Take advantage of the Panthers weak defense
3. Keep hands in Cam Newton's face (defensive line, Ware and Lee)
