There are 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL. All are not created equal, but how do you know if you have a winner. If you are a fan of a team that is not the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers Or New Orleans Saints your quarterback can come into question for ANY reason.
Hence the theory, this theory is one hundred percent proven if you don't think so, go to your teams depth chart look at your starting quarterback and wide receivers and see.
So a quarterbacks BEST friend outside of his Offensive line is his wide receiver. NFL rules have dictated that this is now a passing league, therefore you either have a good to great wide out or a good to great QB. Every team no matter how bad you are has either a wide receiver making the quarterback better. Or a quarterback that makes his wide receivers better.
Case Study #1
Eli Manning vs Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Domenik Hixon
In that scenario who's better, does Nicks, Cruz and Hixon carry Eli, NO, does Eli carry them YES. This is not a knock to those players. They are good, however thinking from an offensive perspective could Eli have won the super without them?

Carson Palmer - Chad (ochocinco) Johnson, TJ houshmandzadeh, Understand where this is going.
Now as I stated it also works were the Wide receiver is everything to a team and he carries a quarterback.

Dwayne Bowe
A.J. Green
are all good examples of this, now you may say that Matthew Stafford and Jay Cutler are good and you would be right but there are NOT better than the guys they throw the ball to.
