2019 Dallas Cowboys preseason opponents and schedule announced!
We’re in April which means the NCAA Tournament has finished up, The Masters is here, and the NFL Draft is not too far away.
This also means that the NFL schedule should be coming out soon and we’ve reached a significant hurdle in that process. The 2019 preseason schedule is out and as it’s been known for a long time, the Cowboys are headed to Hawaii! Here are all four of their games.
Week 1: At San Francisco 49ers (August 8th through 12th)
Week 2: At Los Angeles Rams, Saturday, August 17th at 10pm ET in Honolulu
Week 3: Houston Texans (August 22nd through 25th)
Week 4: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (August 29th through 30th)
The only date that is 100% known as of now is the Week 2 game in Hawaii. The NFL will announce the rest soon enough, and you can bet your bottom dollar that the regular season schedule will follow soon, too.
It’s interesting to note that the Cowboys won’t be facing the Texans in the preseason finale like we’ve grown accustomed to. They’ll actually be playing them in the all-important “dress rehearsal” in the exhibition period’s penultimate contest.
The Cowboys will only play the Rams during the regular season as far as the preseason opponents are concerned, and of course, that’s a rematch of the last game Dallas played which was their divisional loss to the eventual NFC Champions. It’s not shocking either that the first two contests would be on the west coast/Hawaii considering the Cowboys hold training camp in Oxnard, California.
The season is drawing closer, friends. Day by day.
