Joey Bosa talks about Tyron Smith like he's a superhero

Joey Bosa is, by nearly any definition in the NFL, a physical freak. He is strong, fast and remarkably skilled, somehow feeling under drafted at No. 3 overall. He has the advantage in just about every matchup he could possibly find himself in... except against the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas happens to have an even better athlete in left tackle Tyron Smith, and even at less than 100 percent, he is probably the most physically imposing lineman in football.

Bosa is practically in awe of Smith. The way he described him to Jane Slater of NFL.com, you'd think he was talking about a superhero.

"First of all, just look at the man. He's like a cartoon character, freaking test tube baby. It's unbelievable, the size of him. I mean, you just look at him. From the beginning, he's got athleticism and size. Just the way he moves athletically you'd think he'd be a big mauler, but he really isn't. He's just a technician and you can tell he's a well-rounded vet that's blessed with some freakish athletic ability to go along with it."

Zack Martin and Travis Frederick are both All Pro-level linemen, but they get by more on the technical side of the game than with raw athletic ability. Smith is bigger, strong, faster and more agile than just about everyone he plays against. He is the kind of player that scouts dream of, a once-in-a-generation athlete who also happens to actually know what he's doing on the field.

Bosa is the rare opponent who falls into the same category. It doesn't mean all that much when Smith draws praise from the mortals he faces 99 percent of the time. But when a true equal like Bosa gushes about him like that, you know that it comes from a place of true respect and admiration.
