Tyrone Crawford expects to play vs. Giants

When the Dallas Cowboys return to the practice field full-time on Wednesday, defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford plans to be on the field.

Crawford did not play last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee, and spent this week rehabbing off to the side.

"That’s the goal," Crawford said of playing Nov. 23 against the New York Giants.

Crawford said the knee felt much better than it did last week while in London.

"I wasn’t running straight very well," Crawford said. "I did have one day where I was doing all right, but I’m doing a little bit more cutting and lateral movements, so that little stuff."

Crawford has 22 tackles, two tackles for loss, 19 quarterback pressures and a pass deflection in nine games. He started every game this season, but moved to defensive tackle Sept. 28 against the New Orleans Saints and excelled.

Crawford’s bye weekend will not be as long as some teammates because of rehab.

"This is the greatest time for the bye week to come, for me at least," Crawford said. "I’m sure it is for other guys, too."
