Dez Bryant hires Roc Nation

Dallas Cowboys superstar wide receiver Dez Bryant is going to make bank this upcoming offseason with his contract set to expire, and if Jerry Jones and the Cowboys don't pay their most individually talented skill position player, then someone else surely will. Bryant is arguably a top-five wide receiver in this league, and he’s obviously a top-ten player at the position and will likely make even more money per year that Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson, who, technically, signed a team-friendly deal at five years and $43 million. Bryant is just 25 (a few years younger than Nelson), and he has even more upside due to his raw talent (he just isn't as consistent as Nelson).

Per sources close to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Dez Bryant has hired Jay-Z’s Roc Nation to negotiate his next contract, so he is going to go hard after that paper this offseason. He definitely deserves the money, as he has caught 48 passes for 620 yards and five touchdowns so far this season. Last year, Bryant had 93 receptions for over 1,200 yards and 13 touchdowns, and, after the 2014 season, he will make it three seasons with lofty stats.

It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys can afford to give Bryant what he wants, because they are under some cap issues and have to mull over a deal with DeMarco Murray, who also has an expiring contract. Murray is a great RB and an important player to the Cowboys, but Bryant is younger, more important, and has more value as a young No. 1 wideout. We’ll see if the Cowboys can keep both, especially after already giving a lucrative deal to superstar left tackle Tyron Smith.
