DeMarco Murray feeling recharged and ready after bye week

Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has carried the ball more often through the first 10 games this year than he carried it in any of his first three seasons, a workload that has led some to wonder if he’ll be able to hold up for the entire season.

That concern will be magnified in the coming weeks as the Cowboys hit the road for potential cold and windy dates with the Giants, Bears, Eagles and Redskins over the final six weeks of the season. Murray isn’t worried, however.

Murray says he’s “recharged” after the team’s bye week and ready to do whatever the team asked him to do “times 10″ down the stretch.

“Obviously we’re running the ball well, and I think we’re throwing it well, too,” Murray said, via ESPNDallas.com. “So in this part of the year, it’s cold, the weather, so I think running is going to be a little bit more of a factor for us, which is good. We’ve got a strong offensive line. We’ve got some backs who can run and also got a lot of guys on the edge that can go up and get the ball. So it’s going to be huge for us.”

Murray has run for at least 100 yards in nine of Dallas’s 10 games this season, providing them with a different identity on offense than in past years. The next six weeks will tell us if that identity includes finishing strong, something that has been a persistent problem for the Cowboys in recent history.
