Morris Claiborne’s mentor said walkout was surpsing

After being trashed by owner Jerry Jones and demoted from the starting lineup, Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne walked out.

But those close to him said that part was surprising, and they expect him to work his way back.

“The stuff that’s happening now, I’m surprised,” Claiborne’s trainer/mentor Ken Prude said, via Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News. “I know he’s upset, but he told me he was more relaxed now and he was just now starting to get in the groove. I know he’s disappointed because you think you have really climbed a mountain and then to get blindsided like this.

“This is unlike him. The moment he did it, I know he felt bad about it. That’s not him. He’s going to bounce back.”

Prude worked with Claiborne in Shreveport, La., and exchanged texts with him before and after Sunday’s game. He said Claiborne texted him he had a “rough day” but was going “to keep fighting.”
He’s also going to pay, as the team is expected
