DCStands4.com's Dallas Cowboys Full 2014 mock draft

Here is my one and only complete Dallas Cowboys 2014 mock draft. My mock draft completely went to hell when free agency began so I postponed it. After that happened I realized I couldn't do I complete mock draft when Dallas had compensatory picks that had not been awarded. While waiting on that information. I had to watch pro days as that is were draft picks gets pushed up. (see Blake Bortels) So here we are, we know that Dallas has 11 total picks in the 2014 NFL draft. This will be my one and only mock and I hope it doesn't not go to hell.

1st round (16th pick)

Aaron Donald DT - Pittsburgh

I am going to ride my prediction of Donald out. The one thing that will stop the Cowboys picking Donald are two of the best run defensive teams in NFL history. The Chicago Bears and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I have heard from personnel inside of the Bears organize that they have a bit of a grudge against the Dallas front office for the signing of Henry Melton. This grudge may made Chicago pick Donald out of spite and the fact that the Bears need to get better on the defensive front as well. If Donald does make it past Chicago, Pittsburgh will be there waiting. The Steelers have a more pressing need at Offensive line and Wide receiver. If the Steelers do go another route than defense line expect Donald to make his way to Dallas. If the Steelers or Chicago do scoop up Donald expect Dallas to pick...

Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix S - Alabama

This will be the only selection that I give two picks for. I don't feel good about cheating and giving another option but I have to because of the situation of the two teams that pick ahead of us.

2nd round (15th pick) 47th overall

Scott Crichton DE - Oregon State

No matter if Dallas does go with Donald in the first round. The Cowboys will still go defense lineman in the 2nd because of the diamond in the rough find of Crichton. Crichton will be an excellent find in the 2nd round and fits in with the Cowboys 4-3 scheme.

Crichton has been as disruptive as any player in college football coming off the edge, totaling 36.5 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks over the past two seasons.

At 6-foot-3 and 265 pounds, however, he seems to be locked in to a role as a 4-3 end. Add weight to try to make him into a 3-4 end, and Crichton could lose the quickness that has allowed him to be so effective in getting to the quarterback. And Riley presumably has a good idea of whether Crichton has the flexibility to play from a two-point stance as an outside linebacker.

3rd round (14th pick) 78th overall

Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State

Exceptional girth with long arms and a thick lower body. Fundamentally sound with advanced technique. Quick out of his stance. Good anchor. Strong, efficient punch (can pop and recoil). Keeps his hands inside and controls defenders. Mirrors in pass protection. Walls off running lanes. Understands positioning and angles. Athletic enough to short pull effectively -- nice balance and body control for a big man. Good eyes, awareness and reactions. Smart and tough. Durable four-year starter. Professional makeup.

Big, thickly built, relatively nuanced blocker who brings a steadying presence to the interior offensive line. Dependability and effectiveness blocking for pass and run combined with sterling intangibles, including football intelligence, make him capable of starting as a rookie and holding down a position for years to come.

4th round (19th pick) 119th overall

Aaron Murray QB - Georgia

As one might expect given his playing time, Murray does many of the little things well. He has a quick set-up and delivery. He throws a tight spiral and is creative in the pocket, showing the ability to slide and re-set, as well as deliver passes from a variety of arm slots. He throws deep passes with velocity and good trajectory and can attack down the seam with excellent touch, as well.

He has starred in a pro-style offense for four seasons against elite competition and showed the mettle under fire as a senior to handle the leadership duties expected of a franchise field general.

5th round (18th pick) 158th overall

Adrian Hubbard OLB - Alabama

Hubbard finished his junior year with 33 tackles and three sacks as the Tide's SAM linebacker and has several questions to answer regarding his range and reaction quickness. Scouts will be intrigued with Hubbard's length at nearly 6-feet-6, but there was surprisingly little muscular development on his 255-pound frame at the Senior Bowl. For a player coming off a disappointing junior season who still elected to enter the NFL Draft with a year of collegiate eligibility remaining, it wasn't the best impression to make.

Lanky pass rusher who boasts good combination of length, athleticism and versatility. Provides scheme versatility with experience lining up at end as well as outside linebacker.Generally uses his speed to beat tackles off the corner, but can surprise them with a strong bull rush and flashes a quick inside cut to complement both. Surprisingly effective against the run, showing good knee bend when taking on blocks, as well as the strong, long arms to take on, shed and make the tackle when the ball-carrier is near. Generates power on contact, pushing ball-carriers backward. Was often asked to drop into coverage, showing light enough feet, balance and speed to contribute in this role at the next level.

7th round (14th pick) 229th overall

Ethan Westbrooks DE - West Texas A&M

7th round (16th pick) 231st overall

John Urschel OG - Penn State

7th round (23rd pick) 238th overall

Aaron Colvin CB - Oklahoma

7th round (33rd pick) 248th overall (compensatory)

T.J. Jones WR - Notre Dame

7th round (36th pick) 251st overall (compensatory)

L'Damian Washington WR - Missouri

7th round (39th pick) 257th overall (compensatory)

James Wilder Jr HB - FSU
