Cowboys open preseason vs. San Diego

The NFL released the 2014 preseason schedule on Wednesday and the Dallas Cowboys will begin things against the San Diego Chargers. The final dates haven't been determined, but the first preseason game will occur between August 7-10.

The Cowboys are projected to start training camp July 23 or 24 in Oxnard, Calif., and the objective is to play at least two games on the West Coast before returning to Texas. However, the Cowboys will play just one game on the West Coast before the team breaks camp.

The second preseason game will be held at AT&T Stadium when the Cowboys host the Baltimore Ravens between August 14-18.

A visit to the Miami Dolphins, August 21-24, is next for the Cowboys, and the final preseason game will be Thursday, Aug. 28 against the defending AFC champion Denver Broncos.
