Stand out players that fit the Cowboys draft board from the NFL scouting combine; Day 1

This is my favorite time of year. It's not the Super Bowl, playoffs or even the draft but it's the NFL scouting combine. Here is a list of players from Day 1 of the combine that the Cowboys could potentially draft.

Day 1 featured the Offensive linemen, Tight Ends and kickers. Being as tho the Cowboys have 3 active tight ends on the rosters and just made Dan Bailey a rich man (for a kicker). Dallas will only be looking at offensive guards. (A need for Dallas) I may also list the occasional tackle but that is because the player is versatile and there could be a tackle taken by Dallas in the later rounds.

Gabe Jackson Mississippi State - OG -  projected 2nd round. 5.34 40 yard dash 30 bench press.
Good run blocker. While Jackson possesses many of the physical traits that scouts are looking for, questions linger about his true value at this point because he hasn't always played with enough explosiveness or control. He is quick off the snap but has struggled at times to temper his aggression and will allow his technique to get a bit sloppy as a result.

Micheal Schofield Michigan - OT - versatile player, projected 5th round. 5.01 40 yard dash

Xavier Su'a-Filo UCLA - G/T - versatile player, projected 1/2nd round. 5.40 25 bench
One of the more athletic offensive linemen in the country. Good feet and size, runs like a tight end. Good strength and power. Technically sound and has good flexibility. Needs to bring it every play, sometimes it can be too easy for him, and may take plays off. Su'a-Filo really turned heads at the combine today and could have made the jump into a definite 1st round section. The Cowboys are noticing Su'a-Filo but so is everyone else.

Played in zone and man blocking schemes -- the Cowboys run a mix of both. Su'a-Filo is agile for his size, able to get out and pull around the edge in the run game.

Dakota Dozier Furman - G -projected 3rd round  5.42 40 yard dash 23 bench press
Earned consensus second team All-SoCon honors in balloting by coaches and league media after earning starts in all 11 games at left tackle. Outstanding play helped pave the way for All-SoCon running back Jerodis Williams, who rushed for 1,055 yards and nine touchdowns to become the first Paladin 1,000-yard rusher since 2003.

Brandon Thomas Clemson - G - projected 4th/5th round. 5.09 40 yard dash 35 bench press

John Urschel Penn State - G projected 6th/7th round 5.31 29 40 yard dash bench 7.55 cone drill

Sub 5.00 40 yard dash players. The 40 time is a nil drill when it comes to linemen but here are prospects that broke sub 4.

Trai Turner LSU - G- 4.93 40 yard dash 25 bench press 7th round.
Speed ma be the only strong suit for Turner. Another year at LSU would have done him good. Turner made All SEC 2nd team.
