Latest Mock Draft have the Cowboys wasting a pick: Cowboys Get Surprisingly Offensive in First Round

17. Dallas Cowboys
Zach Martin
Offensive Guard, Notre Dame
Analysis: Actually, I believe Dallas will trade out of this pick because I don’t believe there are any defensive players worthy of a first round pick here. The only exception could be DT Ra’shede Hageman, but Martin is more highly rated than him in most big boards. After the Cowboys pick, I predict many highly touted defensive tackles will fall into the second round.  I also think there is simply an abundance of quality defensive players in the next three rounds Dallas would be wise to try and get extra picks within. I would look for Pitt’s DT Aaron Donald in the second round, Texas’ DE Jackson Jeffcoat and/or Northern Illinois safety Jimmie Ward in the third. If Dallas does go defensive with their first pick, Baylor guard Cyril Richardson could be in their crosshairs with their #2 pick.
