ONE WIN AWAY
Going into this season we had BIG dreams, now staring at a 3-5 record, those dreams seem to be only dreams. When Ginger Jay (Jason Garrett) took over this team in 2010 we had a nice run, so nice in fact he took a team that had no wins and pushed them to being "ONE WIN AWAY" from the post-season.
The math is simple, win the rest of our games and finish 11-5 and take the division. This team at the present time does nothing to make that situation seem likely. Option two, lose one game and make the playoff with a 10-6 record (as division winners or as a wildcard team). The last scenario is lose two games, stand with a 9-7 record and hope we get a wild card. Outside of our two remaining divisional games. We face Pittsburgh and New Orleans in our own building (where we suck at) and the Bengals in Cincinnati.
The way things are going 8-8 may be a safe bet. Making this season like Garrett's first season (as head coach) having a team full of talent, although riddled with injuries but still being "ONE WIN AWAY".
Personally I am not giving up on this team. November and December are where we usually fall, but the super bowl teams rise. Jerry Jones has padded our schedule. Making all of the games in Nov/Dec must win games. So we either rise to the occasion or figure out if we are going to pick Manti Te'o (ND), Luke Joeckel (Texas A&M) or Johnathan Jenkins (UGA) in april's draft.
