Who should the cowboys draft with the 27th pick…

How do you draft for the team that has EVERYTHING, it’s been noted for years that the Dallas cowboys has been stacked on both sides of the ball, but what do you address? I think our lack of signing throughout free agency this year shows that there are not a lot of need for this team, but the draft is about building for the future.

I’m going to start with a player that one I don’t see being available and two at a position like all, which we don’t have a need but would be the biggest bang for the buck if he is around at our spot.

Kyle Wilson, CB
Height: 5-10 | Weight: 194 | College: Boise State

Wilson earned all-conference or all-American honors in all four seasons with the Broncos, Wilson is an excellence in man coverage, doesn’t lose speed and breaks on the ball well and as equally good in zone coverage. His one downside maybe be in run coverage.

So whom will we draft?

With Ken Hamlin aging and having a sub par season I see us selecting…

Taylor Mays, SS
Height: 6-3 | Weight: 230 | College: Southern California

I very much expect Taylor Mays to fall down into our pick and with his ability to play the zone well I expect Jerry, Wade and the bunch to scoop him up without hesitation.

Now I must warn everyone the only other position on the field where we need help and will undoubtedly address during the latter rounds is Offensive line and if the likes of Bruce Campbell or Charles Brown is still around by the time we pick ALL best are off. The other cowboy’s spoiler alert is that if Jerry Jones trades away the 27th pick I wouldn’t be surprised either.

NEXT WEEK: Who is the cowboys’ NEXT Miles Austin?
