Their participation in Friday’s practice at least presents the possibility all three could play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. The official injury report will be released after practice.

Rolando McClain did not play last week against the St. Louis Rams because of a groin injury. In the portion of practice that was open to the media, McClain took first-team work in individual drills. Melton suffered a hamstring against the Rams and Terrell McClain suffered a concussion.

If Rolando McClain can’t play, then Anthony Hitchens would start at middle linebacker. Justin Durant will return to the lineup following a two-week absence with a groin injury.

Defensive end Anthony Spencer is not practicing Friday after taking part in limited sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, which was part of the plan. He will play Sunday against the Saints but will be on what defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli called a “quiet pitch count.”
