Cowboys Make Roster Move, Friday Injury Report Has Rolando McClain Back At Practice

The Dallas Cowboys made another bottom of the roster move today when they re-signed defensive end Lavar Edwards, a player they cut earlier this week. When Doug Free fractured his foot, the Cowboys needed depth at offensive tackle so they signed Tony Hills and released Edwards. They have now brought Edwards back and released linebacker Kory Toomer. Toomer was signed at the end of August when the Seattle Seahawks released him.

Rolando McClain was back at practice today as expected after dealing with a family situation in Alabama. The Cowboys are feeling better about his health.

The Cowboys also made arrangements for McClain to undergo treatment on a lingering groin injury when he was away from the team. "It seems like he’s much healthier, was able for the most part to get through that (Seattle) game,’’Garrett said. "He got some treatment and rehab when he was away and hopefully will be ready to go today.’’

Anthony Spencer took his usual Friday off from practice but should be fine to play on Sunday. Doug Free, Bruce Carter and Jack Crawford all missed practice and won't play. The Cowboys needed Edwards back for depth at defensive end with Crawford ailing.
