Scout Report: Cowboys Vs. Ravens

I know how this movie ends...

If you anyone remember Texas Stadium and remembers how it closed remember what we are up against. If anyone remembers Jamal Lewis fresh off of his 2000+ yards campaign know what we are up  against. This is ALWAYS the hardest game EVER for me, those that know me know why. (we don't have time for a history lesson, we have a game to play so lets move forward)

A wise man once said "insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results." We can not come into this game with the same game plan. The Ravens have two nice corners and once of the most dangerous safety EVER in NFL history. Letting Romo play guns away is NOT an option. Joe Flacco is getting better Torrey Smith is dangerous and we know what Ray Rice can do.

This will be the first game back for Jay Ratliff since he suffered a high-ankle sprain against the Rams in the preseason. There has been talk already this week about monitoring the number of snaps that he will play in the game because of the way the Ravens like to go with a no huddle offense. It sounds all fine and dandy, but to me this game is going to be about attacking the interior of Baltimore’s offensive line, both in the running and passing games.
The Cowboys are going to need Ratliff for as much as he can handle. Ratliff can be a nightmare for centers and guards to handle because of his explosive quickness and power.

Lets introduce the world to Bruce Carter.

The Ravens have an outstanding running back in Ray Rice, who is one of the best at using his vision to run the ball, but can also come out of the backfield on screens and check downs. Carter is the Cowboys’ best cover linebacker, and has the speed and athletic ability to match up with Rice when the Ravens decide to put the ball in his hands.

Rob Ryan is one of the best defensive minds in the business and giving him a week to plan so be enough. We MUST lean on our defense this game. We need to keep the scoring down.
